Our Paralegal Program prepares you to support attorneys both in the office and the courtroom, by providing you with the necessary background and skills to enter the fast-growing paralegal field. Through this program, you will gain knowledge of legal research and drafting of legal documents, how to interview witnesses and interact with clients, as well as training on how to assist attorneys in the courtroom.

Paralegal : Associate of Business Degree

This program will give you a valuable education in the field of paralegal studies. A paralegal is one who is qualified by education, training or work experience that works for or is retained by a lawyer, an office of law, corporation, or an agency of the government, or other entity, and one that does specific, substantive legal work delegated by a lawyer who is responsible for the work.

Only when permitted by law, may a paralegal provide legal services directly to the public. Main courses will teach students the aspects of drafting legal documents, interacting with clients, and assisting in court. To support attorneys in resolving legal issues, memoranda will be prepared and research will be conducted by students. Students will be taught to assist lawyers in discovery, which means replying to interrogatories, creating documents, and conversing with witnesses.
