Certificate Programs in Paralegal Studies

Paralegal Certificate Programs are offered by educational establishments to students who complete a defined level of training.

This is not the same as paralegal certification.

Certification is offered by three distinct paralegal professional organizations: the National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA), the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) and the American Alliance of Paralegals (AAP). Frequently, jobs advertised for "certified paralegals" are aimed at those who have completed a paralegal certificate program, rather than those who have attained certification.
