Find a job as a paralegal professional
PURPOSE:
Paralegal and Legal Assistant are general terms used to describe individuals who carry out numerous and varying tasks under the supervision of an attorney. Several paralegals gain specialization in one field such as civil litigation or estate planning while some paralegals work in many fields such as law generalists. The jobs that paralegals will be required to perform will depend on their levels of experience and their specialized areas within the law. Private law firms, corporations, banks, legal aid offices, the courts, and governmental agencies are some of the examples in which paralegals are often employed.
The design of this career program is such that the students can go directly into the labor market after completion. Even if some of the courses in this program will transfer to four-year institutions, this program is not intended to be a transfer program of study. This means that it is not subject to the terms and conditions of STARS.
