Students that aim for the Asociate of Applied Science in Business get ready for careers in Accounting, Office Technology and Paralegal services. If you want to start working in an accounting, office technology, or legal secretary position, then the fastest way is through a certificate program. The weight in Office Technology is intended to give the students the essential background knowledge and skills to utilize the technologies desired by secretaries and administrative assistants in today's offices.
There is a minimum of 62 semester hours required of the career program, in order to award the Associate of Applied Science degree to students. Many of the required courses will transfer to a four-year college or university, even though this is not intended to be a transfer degree.
