The student is required to take this legal survey course as the initiating course into the program. It is meant to train the student for a job as a paralegal. The student gets to know the task of a paralegal in the society, what his career opportunities are, and the principles of law, as well as to analyze it. He gets the opportunity to access the law library and also gets coverage to substantive and procedural areas of law. We advise the recommended preparation for the paralegal position; English 251 or an equivalent college course with ICI or better, (eligibility for the ENG 1 is determined by the COS procedures and concurrent enrollment in Paralegal 102).
