Cuyamaca College Program Information

Students interested in a satisfying and stimulating career linked to the legal profession will find that the Paralegal Program at Cuyamaca College is a great place to begin. All courses are taught by highly regarded attorneys, paralegals and professionals in the legal field. The Paralegal Associate in Science degree program will teach the students the necessary skills that are valuable for a variety of tasks and responsibilities of a legal assistant in a private law firm, corporation or government agency.

State-of-The-Art-Education

Our paralegal program is developed, and regularly reviewed, with the help of an advisory committee made up of leaders within the field including judges, attorneys and practicing paralegals. This committee offers expert advice about the current needs and trends related to paralegal services, and serves to make the curriculum strong at Cuyamaca College.

Career Opportunities

The San Diego legal and business community have a need for trained paralegals. Agencies and law firms are interested in qualified employees in drafting legal documents, interviewing clients or witnesses, performing research, editing, processing trial information and preparing correspondence. The paralegal degree is also helpful for legal technicians in non-professional positions who are looking for job advancement.
