Pikes Peak Community College
Enroll at Pikes Peak Community College Paralegal Program
Accredited by the American Bar Association.
Goals of the program:
- Train students to obtain jobs as legal assistants (paralegals) in various legal environments
- Offer opportunities for students who would like to upgrade their job skills
- Offer coursework and transfer information to students who would like to further their education
Graduates assist in trail preparation by performing basic legal research, draft various legal documents, conduct client and witness interviews, participate in basic fact-finding and investigations. They will also possess knowledge of both ethical and professional conduct. Despite their intense training, however, graduates of the paralegal program are not authorized to practice law itself. The legal assistant program offers training for legal assistants (paralegals) having the authority to carry out substantive legal work only under a lawyer's supervision.
