The program in legal studies provides 64 credit hours and leads to an Associate of Science degree that has been approved by the American Bar Association(ABA); you will be prepared to serve as an essential member of the legal team in a variety of settings, including corporate law offices, courts, governmental agencies, real estate firms, and other offices requiring legal services. As a paralegal/legal assistant, you will work directly with and under the supervision of an attorney, and execute a variety of duties including interviewing clients and witnesses; accomplishing legal research; drafting documents; preparing trial notebooks and exhibits; and supporting at trials and hearings.
