The Paralegal Studies program offers educational opportunities to students that will allow them to succeed as legal assistants. It also takes great care to ensure that Paralegal students understand the legal prohibition against the unauthorized practice of law by those who are not licensed to practice. The general studies requirement of the program is included in order to facilitate development of written, spoken, and processing skills and to broaden the curriculum in the fields of humanities, behavioral sciences, and mathematical procedures.
The associate degree program offers alumni with the fortuity for the possible career mobility and allows for continuing education at the baccalaureate level. The national certification exam is available for graduates to take if they desire.
