The Legal Assistant/Paralegal Program at Des Moines Area Community College prepares students to work for busy lawyers who typically need help to perform a variety of important, and sometimes tedious, legal services on a daily basis.

• and some even work in other departments that are linked to law, like:

Legal assistants and Paralegals may not provide legal services directly to the public and must work under the supervision of a lawyer.
