A paralegal can work in many venues (business, a lawyer's private practice, for a legal team, social or governmental agency) but must be supervised in his/her tasks by a lawyer and have taken classes or on-the-job training beforehand to be eligible for the job.

These typical legal task which include:

  • carrying out client and witness interviews
  • outlining court pleadings and motions
  • performing legal research
  • preparing legal documents like:

  • managing and arranging case files
