Lawyers appoint a multitude of duties to paralegals, although ultimately the lawyers themselves are responsible for the legal work. The duties of a paralegal consist of processing legal documents, composing letters, performing accounting procedures, and other such office-related work. The purpose of this area of study is to give the student an understanding of legal terminology, civil litigation, basic research and writings, prioritization, the use of legal references, and effective application of human relation skills.

Individuals who participating in the Paralegal program will gain the necessary knowledge, skills and attitude to excel in paralegal services.

The diploma program prepares graduates to be prepared for entry-level employment as paralegal professionals that will assist attorneys in their research, investigations, document preparations, and writing responsibilities in offices such as legal, banking, insurance, engineering, medical, and personnel tasks.

The Associate of Applied Science Degree program is great for students who want to receive paralegal technical training and more academic training that will allow them to achieve advancement within the area of paralegal services.
