The Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies is a degree program intended to prepare students to be paralegals or find other related employment in fields including benefits, patents, copyrights, estates, tax, or bankruptcy. The design of the program adheres to the American Bar Association's set of course guidelines. The duties a paralegal is expected to carry out include: conducting legal research and title searches, support for pleadings and litigation cases, maintenance of estate records, and assist with real estate transactions.
