Find a job as a paralegal professional

A legal assistant, also known as paralegal, is one who has been trained in or had work experience enabling him or her to be employed by a lawyer, law office, or other type of business and is able to execute specific substantive legal work for the lawyer responsible.

The Legal Studies Program's Paralegal Studies Option offers the education and training necessary to allow one to effectively and competently assist attorneys and other legal professionals in their provision of fair, speedy, and cost-effective legal services to their clients. The program does this by granting certification only after a student has successfully completed all of its courses.

Opportunities for employment in settings such as law firms, government agencies, and the legal departments of corporations such as banks and others exist for program graduates.

Practicing paralegals wishing to further their education can also benefit from the Paralegal Studies Program. The American Bar Association has approved this program.
