Gain a successful career in the paralegal field

If you are interested in law, choosing a career in the paralegal field is a great start to an exciting, challenging and lucrative field. You will learn how to draft legal documents, do research and investigation on legal issues, interview clients and witnesses, and give procedural assistance in legal matters. Our curriculum combines traditional classroom learning in areas such as legal courses, business, and liberal arts with the hands-on experience of working in a law firm. Furthermore, you'll obtain training in Westlaw Computer-Assisted Legal Research Service, an important tool used in many law offices that provides the legal researcher with instant access to cases, statutes, administrative regulations, and several other authorities. Students who complete the program earn an Associate in Science Degree in Paralegal Studies.

Career Opportunities
  • Upon graduation, you can expect to find employment in private or corporate law offices, government agencies, or other legal settings
  • If you choose to further your education, Mass Bay has numerous transfer arrangements with private and public four-year colleges and universities.
