Preparing students for careers as paralegals is the goal of our department. Practical paralegal skills in connection with a liberal arts education are taught in this program. This liberal arts education enables the graduating student serve an up to date, varied culture society with a well guided and worthy skill. The education of B.S.N. is also included in the mission allowing credentialed nurses to become nurse paralegals.
The paralegal studies department's main objective is to produce skilled and well-rounded paralegals who are competent to assist attorneys in the legal field. These objectives are attained through carefully designed academic requirements and extensive training.

The graduate is expected to demonstrate all the competencies necessary to serve as a qualified paralegal after completing the two years term program of the associate's degree. The four-year bachelor's degree program trains the graduate to take more responsibility as a paralegal by providing more legal breadth with valuable programs in administrative areas.
