First approved by the American Bar Association since 1977, the Paralegal Program at Inver Hills Community College provides a highly challenging curriculum to its diverse student body of both new and recurring students. The program is very respected in the legal community. It supplies in-depth training in law and legal procedures and combines that with a practical paralegal internship opportunity.

Mission

It is the personal objective of the Inver Hills Community College - Paralegal Program to create graduates who are well prepared to take on the general responsibilities of a paralegal. Our program is approved by the American Bar Association and offers quality coursework in both traditional and online formats. We offer terrific continuing legal education for students and paralegals who are currently working as well.

Vision

The Paralegal Program's vision is to provide top-of-the-line education and training for paralegal students who will be working under the direct supervision of lawyers. The latest, incessant advice and group effort with the paralegal advisory board, faculty, administration, law enterprises, governmental bureau, universities, law schools, and legal associations proves to be a helping hand to us in accomplishing this. Our alternative methods of course delivery along with our strategic marketing, recruiting, and retention efforts provide easy entrance and flexibility for all students.

Since 1975 the Inver Hills Community College Paralegal Program has received American Bar Association approval. ABA's approval of our program is very valuable to us. There are approximately 1,200 paralegal programs in the United States. Only about 25% are ABA-approved.
