The Paralegal Technical curriculum, available only on our Ridgeland Campus, was conceived as a solution for students seeking legal employment at entry level in corporations, government agencies, law firms and as legal or paralegal assistants in courtrooms.

The Paralegal Technology program lasts two years, and involves modules in the areas of vocational-technical studies, academic core studies and courses in concentration. Successful completion of the program will be rewarded with the degree of Associate of Applied Science. The program was developed using elements of the National Association of Legal Assistants' Descriptions of Certified Legal Assistant (CLA) Exam Sections. In addition to these standards, the curriculum was constructed by surveying the needs of local industry, business and education experts, and also by means of a literature review.
