Paralegal Studies is an interdisciplinary major that is available through the Department of Political Science, and students majoring in course will be required to complete a total of 36 hours of course work.

This Bachelor of Arts degree in Paralegal Studies enables students to find employment as a legal assistant in government offices, private business and law firms. They can help attorneys to provide a more efficient legal service and also perform a number of tasks such as research into legal matters, assisting in litigation, investigation, interviewing and the maintenance and organization of legal files.

Students wishing to major in Paralegal Studies are obliged to undergo coursework totaling thirty hours, and maintain a GPA of 2.5. All students that transfer to this program must have achieved a GPA of at least 2.25 before transferring.
