There is little doubt that the complexity and the number of lawsuits is rapidly growing, and in such an environment the demand for legal assistants/paralegal professionals will also grow. The paralegal profession is one of those listed consistently by the Bureau of Labor Statistics as being among those predicted to grow continually throughout the 21st century
A Paralegal Studies major will not only educate you with the knowledge you will require, and with the critical thinking skills necessary, but also how to use these skills in a practical manner while working with attorneys and their clients. A paralegal, or legal assistant, is responsible for the general legal work required of a lawyer or attorney, but for which professional legal certification is not required.
