Become a paralegal specialist at Gloucester County College
Te objective of the paralegal program is to equip students with the specialized legal knowledge to enable them to carry out the duties of a legal assistant, including performing legal research, preparing evidence and witnesses prior to legal proceedings, collating and analyzing data relating to legal disputes and assisting qualified lawyers in drafting and preparing legal documents. There are many employment opportunities in this rapidly expanding type of career, particularly with insurance firms, banks, government agencies, law firms, individual attorneys, trade associations and a number of private and public concerns. However, a paralegal is not qualified to practice law, and can neither give legal advice, nor charge a fee for legal services.
