Paralegal Studies Program Degrees
The Baccalaureate degree program is approved by the American Bar Association, and provides students with a firm base on which to found a career involving paralegal studies and other legal skills. The program provides grounding in substantive and procedural law, combined with analytical skills, creative thinking and basic research. Although paralegals are not permitted to practice law as such, you will receive good preparation for the largely substantive work of a law office, enabling you to seek employment in a large number of legal departments in private or public concerns, or alternatively as the beginnings of a more extensive legal career through further graduate education.
The Associate in Applied Science Paralegal Degree enables you to take up entry-level employment and also to pursue further paralegal education for a higher degree. Approved by the American Bar Association, the A.A.S. is also suitable for the requirements of in-service personnel.
