Meredith College's Paralegal Program is an ABA-Approved and North Carolina State Bar Qualified Paralegal Program and was especially developed as a post-baccalaureate certificate program for any person having a bachelor's degree. The admission is competitive for this program.

For many years, Meredith College's Paralegal Program was considered to be a symbol of excellence in paralegal education and that's mainly because they provided interesting courses in paralegal education.

Meredith's Paralegal Program has an Advisory Committee of attorneys, paralegals and laypersons that are constantly making recommendation for changes to the program. Every graduate must provide continuous feedback and thatís very important because the quality of the training is always at stake.

Meredith College's Paralegal Program is trying to teach students all there is to know about the law and the legal profession. The entire curriculum is centered on paralegals and the way they assist the attorneys. Civil Litigation, Business Organizations and Real Estate along with various electives offer valuable information for paralegals.

Not only lawyers or legal administrators are trained in this program but also the paralegals. All this was developed having the local legal community interest in mind and people at Meredith are teaching education courses and constantly promoting public awareness of the role of paralegals in the efficient delivery of quality legal services.

The teachers are well-qualified professionals with plenty experience in the use of paralegals. Even if this may seem a little bit hard at first, students must know that all rigorous standards imposed here are only in their best interest.

During this program, the director, faculty and students participate together in various association activities that are meant to encourage the sharing of expertise and to enhance the professionalism of paralegals.
