South Piedmont Community College

South Piedmont Community College paralegal education

Paralegals are an important part of offices and law firms. They are usually doing tasks that help lawyers, and keep legal departments and law offices in good running order. They will assist lawyers in doing closings or preparing briefs, going to meetings, taking notes and doing research. In some cases they will also supervise employees, oversee projects and keep the records. They also need very good communication and written skills, if they want to do their jobs effectively.

The South Piedmont Community College Paralegal Technology program is made to give students the skills and knowledge they need to begin a paralegal career.

The courses put an accent on civil litigation, legal writing and research and legal procedure. When they finish, they will be able to work in legal analysis, estate planning, law firms, appraisers, abstractors, law clerks, legal departments, legal research and title examiners.
