Paralegal education at Western Piedmont Community

By taking the Paralegal Technology courses at Western Piedmont Community College, you will learn how to work while supervised by a lawyer, to do substantive legal work and legal tasks that are routine. They can't represent clients though, or give legal advice and practice law.

Part of the program is getting knowledge in legal research, legal writing, family law, civil litigation, estates, wills, trusts and commercial law. They also include topics like computer utilization, mathematics and English.

If you graduate from this course, you will be trained to do investigations, probate work, drafting legal documents, doing searches in the public records, doing research and manage offices. There are plenty of jobs as paralegals in banks, businesses, law firms, insurance agencies and government agencies.
