Legal Office Assistant / Paralegal

By going through this program, students will get the needed training to enter a position in a law office or an organization, where they can perform support functions. Besides paralegal and legal assistant courses, they will also go through computer, secretarial and word processing courses. If they wish, they can specialize further in accounting or management. When they finish, they can work in government agencies, law offices, financial firms, investment or real estate firms. For a few years now, one of the best growing positions in big cities is the one of the paralegal. If you go through this course, you can also become a member of the Berks County Legal Support Staff. Across the street from the County Services Building and the Berks County Courthouse there is PACE, where you can find jobs in Controller's Office, Judges offices, IT departments or Public Defender's office.
