Columbia Basin College

Program Overview (EVENING PROGRAM ONLY)

This program is equivalent to a two year study, and it's addressed to those that want to become paralegals or legal assistants, while working in legal departments or attorney offices in different capacities.

Students can attend the program as an extended-day program, and you need 3 or 4 courses each quarter to finish the program in time. And since you need at least 12 credits each quarter, you need at least 8 quarters to finish the program.

When the students finish the program, they can do research about judgements and legal cases, make legal documents of quality, do interviews of witnesses and clients, talk with clients to prepare them for court hearings, help lawyers prepare for litigation and index and organize documents in an office.
