Highline Community College
Either through earning the A.A.S. Degree or Paralegal Plus Certificate every graduate of the Highline Community College Paralegal Program will have a strong background of the substantive and procedural law. They will be fully qualified to perform legal work under the direct and constant supervision of an attorney.
During the courses, the student will be able to deal correctly with all legal forms and procedures and offer effectiveness client representation.
You must know that this program combines a legal specialty with a general education curriculum and after completing it the student will have great thinking and organizational skills and will distinguish ethical standards which adhere to professional responsibility principles, the need for constant legal education, and the promotion of legal-system access.
Once you're accepted in the Paralegal Program, Highline allows you to choose how to be trained.
There are three options available:
- The first one is a 2 year A.A.S. program a standard program for anyone who's trying to graduate paralegal studies .
- The second option is a A.A. degree<7. It's a lot like the A.A.S. degree but includes a few additional classes just in case you decide to direct transfer to most 4-year universities .
- The last training method is the 1 year Plus certificate especially for students having a bachelorís degree and needing a paralegal certificate .
