The Western's Paralegal Program is approved by the American Bar Association and allows graduates to best offer substantive legal services to lawyers, businesses and the government. Once a student finds a job as a paralegal, they will work in a law offices, title companies, corporate legal departments, public defender offices, credit agencies, legal aid providers, district attorney offices and in several county and state governmental offices.

During the courses the students will develop their skills on substantive and procedural law involved in several legal areas involving the general practice of law. They will be thought how to conduct legal researches and investigations, assist in trial preparation and draft legal documents.

If a paralegal is not available, his tasks will be performed by an attorney. You must know that a paralegal is prohibited to practice law, give legal advices or represent clients in the court of law. All their work must be supervised by a lawyer.
