By the time you graduate from Sullivan University's Institute for Legal Studies, you will be prepared to perform legal research and draft legal documents as a paralegal as well as a variety of other related tasks.

The American Bar Association fully approves all the paralegal programs at Sullivan. Upon graduation from the Institute for Legal Studies, either through day or night classes at Sullivan University, you will have picked up many important skills, such as legal research and writing, management and information, which will be useful in getting you placement in private law offices, government regulatory agencies, or legal departments in business or corporate environments.

POST- BACCALAUREATE CERTIFICATE

Upon completion of a bachelor's degree from Sullivan University (or other institutions) and 60 plus hours of core requirements as stated by Sullivan, students are awarded with a Paralegal Studies post-baccalaureate certificate.

With exposure to the same law course work necessary for Paralegal Studies associate degree, this certificate program is designed to allow individuals with a prior degree to complete a short program study.

REQUIREMENTS FOR POST-BACCALAUREATE CERTIFICATE:

• 60 Credit Hours
• Extends over 9 months

ASSOCIATE OF SCIENCE (A.S.) DEGREE

General courses, basic courses and paralegal core courses are grouped to allow students an inclusive education at which, upon completion, students earn an Associate of Science Degree in paralegal studies. Those that complete the program are capable of working as paralegals for the government, with law firms, RMS and in the business.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ASSOCIATE DEGREE

• 104 Credit Hours
• Extends over 18 months

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (B.S.P.S.) DEGREE

The Bachelor of Science in Paralegal Studies (B.S.P.S.) degree has been created to further students' skills and abilities by revealing advanced paralegal course work along with other business related courses. The BSPS curriculum provides a comprehensive education.

In the process of training in the expansive areas of paralegal practice, the Paralegal Studies bachelor's degree graduates are able to broad their spectrum of opportunities and develop a keen business sense. It can also serve as a great bachelor's degree program for students that can foster success for law school.
